Dongshin University Develops Operation Guide for Non-Face-to-Face Psychological and Career Counseling Program

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Dongshin University Student Counseling Center announced on the 25th that it has developed an operation guide for psychological and career counseling programs to support college students' mental health, including support for "Dae2byeong" in the untact era caused by COVID-19.

This guidebook details the use of non-face-to-face psychological counseling programs for enrolled students suffering from psychological and emotional problems such as loneliness, depression, and anxiety due to the ongoing government social distancing guidelines, as well as career counseling programs addressing students' career and employment concerns.

It also provides information on recent career characteristics of college students, the current status of university career counseling programs, non-face-to-face individual counseling programs, non-face-to-face group counseling programs, and non-face-to-face crisis counseling programs.

Park Hee-hyun, head of the Dongshin University Student Counseling Center, said, “We operate psychological and career counseling programs based on student needs surveys such as school adaptation test result analysis, surveys of freshmen and enrolled students, and education satisfaction surveys,” adding, “Through non-face-to-face programs, we will protect our students' mental health and help them adapt to school.”
