[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] To ensure the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines arriving in Jeju Island for the first time via passenger ship, the Jeju Coast Guard's 500-ton patrol vessel escorted the ship safely to Jeju Port.


According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 25th, at around 4:30 a.m. that day, the passenger ship A, carrying COVID-19 vaccines, entered the jurisdiction of Jeju waters. The vessel was handed over from the Wando Coast Guard patrol ship and was safely escorted to Jeju Port.


The Jeju Coast Guard stated that it will continue to provide close escort to ensure smooth and safe transportation of COVID-19 vaccines arriving in Jeju via passenger ships.
