Jeonnam Police Support Safe Transport of COVID-19 Vaccines

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 25th that it will implement support measures for the rapid and safe transportation of vaccines distributed to the Jeonnam region as the supply of COVID-19 vaccines begins.

Previously, on the 24th, the first batch of vaccines was escorted from Yeonggwang IC to Mokpo Port for transportation from Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, through Jeonnam to Jeju.

On the 25th and 26th, when transportation officially begins, the Jeonnam police plan to support sequential delivery from Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to about 60 public health centers and entrusted medical institutions in each city and county of Jeonnam.

Since the vaccine transportation schedule will be carried out simultaneously in 22 cities and counties, the mission will be carried out by mobilizing the maximum available personnel and equipment, including 89 traffic police officers, 4 support police officers, and 33 patrol cars.

A representative of the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency stated, “We will continue to mobilize the maximum available personnel and equipment to support the safe transportation of COVID-19 vaccines, ensuring safety, accuracy, and speed.”
