[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The entire country will be cloudy, with rain expected in the Chungcheong region, southern areas, and Jeju Island from the afternoon.

On the 25th, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) reported that due to a low-pressure system moving eastward near Shanghai, China, rain will begin in the morning along the Jeolla West Coast and spread to the Chungcheong region, southern areas, and Jeju Island from the afternoon. Expected precipitation amounts are 30-80mm for Jeju, 5-40mm for southern regions, and less than 5mm for Chungcheong.

Today, the entire country will be mostly cloudy, with the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Yeongseo region clearing up from night. Daytime temperatures nationwide are forecasted to be between 7 and 12 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow morning temperatures will range from -4 to 7 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 8 and 15 degrees Celsius, slightly warmer than today.

Fine dust levels are expected to be between 'Good' and 'Moderate' across all regions. However, in the morning, Sejong, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk are expected to reach 'Bad' levels, and the southern part of Gyeonggi Province may temporarily experience 'Bad' levels as well.

From the afternoon, winds will begin to strengthen, with Jeju Island, the southern coast of Jeonnam, and from early tomorrow morning, the coastal areas of Gyeongsang experiencing very strong winds at speeds of 10-18 m/s, with maximum gusts exceeding 25 m/s. There is a possibility of a strong wind advisory being issued. These strong winds are expected to continue until the 28th, with the strongest winds anticipated between tomorrow morning and the early hours of the 28th.

The KMA urged, "To prevent damage caused by strong winds, thorough inspections should be conducted in advance on outdoor facilities such as screening clinics, construction sites, vinyl greenhouses, roofs, and traffic lights, as well as on potential hazards like falling debris and signboards that may be blown away by the wind."

Currently, dry weather warnings are in effect for Seoul, parts of inland Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongdong and southwestern Yeongseo, some areas in Chungcheong, eastern Jeonbuk, and Gyeongsang. The effective humidity, which indicates the dryness of materials like wood, is below 35%, indicating very dry atmospheric conditions. Dry weather often leads to frequent forest fires, and if a fire occurs, it can escalate into a large blaze, so thorough fire prevention measures are necessary.

In the southern offshore areas of the West Sea, the western sea of the South Sea, and the seas around Jeju Island, very strong winds and high waves are expected from the afternoon. Vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should exercise caution. Wave heights will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 3 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea nearshore.
