Anjin Accounting Corporation Successfully Concludes 2021 Revised Tax Law Online Briefing Session The new logotype unveiled by Deloitte Anjin.


[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] Deloitte Anjin Accounting Corporation announced on the 25th that it successfully completed the '2021 Revised Tax Law Online Seminar' held on the 24th for accounting and tax officers of major domestic companies.


This seminar was organized to prevent confusion caused by various interpretations and opinions following the significant recent revisions to the tax law, and to help accounting and tax officers of domestic and international companies understand the revised tax law based on practical cases. The entire seminar was conducted as a webinar in compliance with social distancing and quarantine rules due to COVID-19, and was broadcast through the official YouTube channel of Deloitte Korea Group. More than 1,200 accounting and tax officers from major domestic companies pre-registered for the seminar.


Deloitte Anjin's tax experts explained the impact of major legal and enforcement decree amendments, including the Corporate Tax Act, Income Tax Act, Value-Added Tax Act, Customs Act, and International Taxation, on corporate taxation during the seminar.


Partner Kyu-beom Cho, the first speaker, presented on the direction of tax policy operation in 2021. Following him, Senior Advisor Jae-seok Choi explained the amendments to the Corporate Tax Act and the Value-Added Tax Act. Partner In-young Jung detailed the amendments to the Customs Act, while Partner Chang-hwan Shin provided an in-depth explanation of the amendments to the Income Tax Act and the Inheritance and Gift Tax Act. Partners Young-pil Kim and Young-soo In gave detailed explanations on the amendments related to the International Tax Adjustment Act and transfer pricing, receiving great responses. After all lectures, there was a Q&A session where practical staff from actual companies asked questions about the revised tax laws and received answers.
