Public-Private Partnership Agenda (Projects) Call for Solving Community Issues... Open to All Yangcheon Residents, Held for 30 Days from February 22 to March 23
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) plans to recruit excellent agendas (projects) that can be jointly carried out by the public and the government to solve community issues from February 22 to March 23, for 30 days.
This contest was initiated with the purpose of moving beyond the administrative agency-led policy decision-making method to enable residents to think about and solve community problems together.
Anyone interested in district administration and Yangcheon-gu cooperation can participate, including office workers, students, and others active in the local area.
The contest fields cover welfare, economy, education, culture, environment, safety, youth, and others, encompassing the entire district administration. Any agenda that allows public-private cooperation throughout the planning, execution, and evaluation processes to solve local problems is sufficient.
Those wishing to participate should write a proposal and submit it online (email jywddy@seoul.go.kr), visit the district office’s Resident Cooperation Division in person, or send it by mail.
The proposal form can be found on the district website → Communication and Participation → Notices or Yangcheon Cooperation → Cooperation Bulletin Board.
Proposed agendas (projects) will be finally selected through processes including feasibility and validity review, verification of compliance with contest agenda requirements, online and offline preference surveys on the agenda, and evaluation by the contest screening committee.
Outstanding proposers will receive certificates of commendation and prizes. The agendas (projects) will be introduced as the ‘2022 Yangcheon-gu Cooperation Projects’ after going through procedures such as prioritizing projects in public forums involving various residents and approval and resolution by the Yangcheon Cooperation Council.
Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “I hope that agendas needed and agreed upon by residents will be discovered through this contest, and we will continue to make our best efforts to establish cooperation as a core value of district administration.”
