According to Gwangju City on the 24th, the number of new confirmed cases as of the previous day is 35 (15 previously announced), and they have been classified as Gwangju cases 1998 to 2032.
Among them, 24 are insurance company call center employees and their family members, and the health authorities believe that secondary infections have occurred.
The building where the insurance company is located also houses public institutions and other call centers, so the possibility of a large-scale spread cannot be ruled out.
So far, 25 confirmed cases related to the insurance company call center have been identified, including Gwangju cases 1994, 2001, 2002, 2005 to 2012, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022 to 2030, and 2032.
On the previous day, three people related to Hyundai Motor Company's Jeonju Plant located in Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, were also confirmed positive and registered as Gwangju cases 1999, 2016, and 2031.
In addition, one person related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, three related to Gwangju case 1992, two confirmed cases related to case 2000, and two with unknown infection routes tested positive, totaling eight people.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the region is 2,032.
