[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Soyoung] A personal internet broadcaster (BJ) reportedly caused a major uproar among Brazilian residents by illegally filming women’s bodies and making derogatory remarks about the local area while in Brazil. There is widespread public outrage, with many saying it is practically a "national disgrace."

According to SBS '8 News,' the BJ recently visited Brazil and conducted multiple live broadcasts from famous local tourist spots. During the broadcasts, the BJ was seen dancing with a mask hanging from the chin amid the COVID-19 situation and illegally filming the backs of passing women for an extended period.

During the broadcast, the BJ reportedly said things like, "Looking at Brazilians, I think, wow, their faces are really XX pretty." Viewers of the channel also engaged in commenting on the appearances of people appearing in the videos, creating an atmosphere encouraging the BJ to produce "more provocative broadcasts."
