[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] A man in his 20s who followed a woman living alone in a one-room apartment, broke into the building, and committed an obscene act has been arrested by the police.
The Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced on the 23rd that they have requested an arrest warrant for A (male, in his 20s) on charges of trespassing in a building and public obscenity for unlawfully entering a one-room apartment building and committing an obscene act.
A is suspected of committing an obscene act in the hallway on the first floor of a one-room apartment building in Buk-gu, Gwangju, around 12:15 a.m. on the 10th.
According to the police investigation, A was loitering in an alley and followed a woman who came outside to throw away trash. After unlawfully entering the building, he committed the obscene act.
The police, who launched an investigation, secured footage from about 20 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras around the building and tracked his movements, eventually apprehending A.
Meanwhile, it is reported that A had committed similar crimes in the past. The police, considering the high risk of reoffending, applied for an arrest warrant for A.
