[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Thinkware announced on the 23rd that it will release the full HD resolution black box 'iNavi Z5000 Plus,' which supports low-power parking recording functionality.

According to Thinkware, the iNavi Z5000 Plus supports 2-channel full HD quality. Compared to the existing Z series products, it can store more than twice the amount of video and features extended parking recording time.

The new product is equipped with a 'Memory Saving Mode' that allows storing more than twice the video files compared to previous models. While maintaining the quality of front and rear continuous video recording files during storage, it compresses the file size by up to 50%.

Additionally, by applying the 'Low-Power Parking Recording' solution used in premium products, the recording time has been extended. When equipped with an auxiliary battery (iVolt BAB-105), it supports parking recording for up to 150 hours.

As additional features, it supports the 'iNavi Connected Standard Plus Service' and expanded connection functionality for a 'Side Camera.'

Using the iNavi Connected Standard Plus Service, users can check the vehicle status in real time while parked. It supports seven functions: ▲Parking Impact Alert ▲Driving Record Data Service ▲Consumables Alert ▲Emergency SOS Alert ▲Remote Power Control ▲Vehicle Location Confirmation ▲Vehicle Location Sharing. These functions can be used through a separate dongle connection, and communication fees are free for the first two years.

Thinkware also incorporated channel expansion functionality through the side camera. When an additional camera is installed separately, the existing front and rear 2-channel setup can be expanded to 4 channels. Furthermore, it supports a separate external satellite navigation device (GPS) that notifies speed enforcement zones through the 'Safe Driving Assistant,' as well as four advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The free after-sales service (AS) period is three years.

The single 32G model is priced at 379,000 KRW for the basic package and 439,000 KRW for the iNavi Connected Standard Plus package.

Thinkware stated, “The iNavi Z5000 Plus supports long-term parking recording through efficient video storage functionality and low-power design,” adding, “We applied various features to enhance driver convenience, such as the iNavi Connected service and 4-channel expansion support.”
