[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha Life announced on the 23rd that Koo Do-gyo, Executive Vice President in charge of sales at Hanwha Life, has been appointed as the CEO of the sales-specialized company 'Hanwha Life Financial Services,' which will launch on April 1.
Appointed Koo is a veteran insurance sales professional who has been on the front lines for 30 years, and is evaluated to possess the qualities of a CEO, including understanding and capability in insurance sales and company-wide business execution power. He has recently been overseeing the promotion of the sales-specialized company.
He joined Hanwha Life (formerly Daehan Life) in 1990 and has held positions such as regional headquarters head, personal sales headquarters head, and CPC Strategy Office head, demonstrating management capabilities across the entire insurance sales process. In 2018, he was appointed as head of sales at Hanwha Life, playing a key role in leading Hanwha Life's insurance sales strategy.
Koo is scheduled to take office as the new CEO of Hanwha Life Financial Services after the regular shareholders' meeting on the 15th of next month. He will lead a large sales-specialized company consisting of approximately 540 sales agencies, about 1,400 employees, and around 20,000 FPs.
A Hanwha Life official said, "Appointed Koo is the right person to lead the industry's number one insurance sales-specialized company based on 30 years of sales expertise," adding, "We expect him to successfully lead Hanwha Life Financial Services ahead of others with differentiated customer management and FP development processes."
