Actor Oh Man-seok Hired as Professor at Korea National University of Arts School of Drama

Seon-Young Seo, Jin-Hee Lee, Kang-Il Ji, and So-Jeong Lee Appointed as New Professors

On the 22nd, the Korea National University of Arts announced that it has appointed five new professors, including actor Oh Man-seok, through open and special recruitment for full-time faculty members. Oh Man-seok was specially recruited as a professor in the Department of Acting (Screen Acting) at the School of Drama. A representative stated, "He has won awards such as the Best Actor at the Korean Musical Awards and the Male Excellence Award in Drama at the MBC Drama Awards, and has been actively involved in various fields including theater, musicals, dramas, films, and theater directing," adding, "He will be able to provide students with practical acting education."

Four others?Seo Sun-young in Vocal Music (Soprano) at the School of Music, Lee Jin-hee in Stage Art (Costume Design) at the School of Drama, Ji Kang-il in Architecture (Architectural Design) at the School of Fine Arts, and Lee So-jung in Dance (Folk Dance) at the School of Traditional Arts?were appointed through open recruitment. Seo Sun-young won first place in the vocal category at the 2011 Tchaikovsky International Competition and has worked as a principal singer at the Basel State Theatre in Switzerland. Lee Jin-hee is an artist who won the Costume Award at last year's Grand Bell Awards for the film "Ansi Fortress" and is highly regarded for her outstanding modern reinterpretation of the aesthetics and styles of traditional Korean clothing. Ji Kang-il is a next-generation architect with experience at Rafael Vi?oly Architects in New York and Perkins&Will in Boston, and Lee So-jung is a dancer who has performed with the National Dance Company for about 20 years.
