[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Girl group (G)I-DLE member Soojin's side has issued a statement regarding allegations of school violence (bullying).
On the afternoon of the 21st, Soojin's agency Cube Entertainment (hereafter Cube) released an official statement confirming, "The allegations of school violence are completely untrue."
Cube stated, "First, regarding the posts about (G)I-DLE's Soojin spreading online, after verifying with the person involved, the commenter is the older sister of a classmate from Soojin's middle school days. The commenter overheard Soojin and the classmate arguing over the phone and continued the call, confirming that there was indeed a dispute between them," adding, "However, we have confirmed that the claims of school violence as alleged by the commenter are entirely false."
They continued, "We ask that the members, who are doing their best every moment and moving forward step by step toward their dreams, no longer be hurt," and warned, "We will take criminal action and all possible measures by the company against those who post indiscriminate false information with malicious intent in the future."

Earlier, on the 20th, a person identified as A appeared on an online community, raising allegations of past school violence by (G)I-DLE's Soojin.
A, who claimed that their younger sibling was a middle school classmate of Soojin, wrote, "It's finally time to expose (G)I-DLE Soojin's school violence. The whole world needs to know," adding, "Except for one perpetrator, I feel sorry for the other members, but I can no longer ignore the time my sibling endured."
A alleged, "They called my sibling and their friends to the bathroom and made them slap each other, and my sibling was labeled as 'outcast' in group texts," and appealed, "The current image on broadcasts is so disgusting. My sibling struggles every day whenever (G)I-DLE's songs come on."
They further claimed, "(Soojin) smelled of cigarettes every day, said she was dizzy from drinking alcohol, ignored people, searched others' desks for good items to take, and borrowed gym clothes without returning them."
Moreover, A stated, "When a celebrity from the same school attended school, she shouted daily, 'Hey, you XX, you punk, what will you do without parents?' She made them drink leftover beverages, took their money, and even took their uniforms. When texts were not replied to, she ostracized them by saying, 'From now on, you're an outcast.'"
Meanwhile, as A's post stirred controversy, it was revealed that a similar post accusing Soojin of school violence had once been uploaded on the anonymous university community 'Everytime,' intensifying the controversy.
