Opposition: "Shin Hyun-soo, Cheong Minjung Chief, Forced to Resign Due to Speaking Honestly and Common Sense"

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 21st, the People Power Party criticized, "Shin Hyun-soo, Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs at the Blue House, is in a position to resign because of his straightforward words and common sense."

People Power Party spokesperson Bae Jun-young said in a verbal commentary on the same day, "It seems that the reason the President appointed General Yoon Seok-yeol and Senior Secretary Shin Hyun-soo was because of their straightforward words and common sense," adding, "However, it is precisely because of that that Senior Secretary Shin is in a position to step down."

Senior Secretary Shin has been on leave since expressing his intention to resign on the 7th in protest against the appointment of prosecutors. It is known that he will announce his position regarding his future after his leave ends on the 22nd.

Spokesperson Bae said, "Claims about the President's special inspector or the Ministry of Justice minister's inspection mentioned in the media ultimately harm the administration," and added, "It is difficult to explain the situation where a person who has built trust as the President's 20-year close friend is being sidelined without considering the President's own will."

He added, "Why should the attendance of a secretary at the Blue House become a national issue? It is pathetic."
