[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Soyoung] Singer and producer Gil (real name Gil Sungjun) has stated that the claims made by Tank (real name Ahn Jinwoong) regarding Gil's labor exploitation and verbal abuse are "not true."
On the 19th, Gil's side released an official statement saying, "The content of the YouTube video uploaded by Tank (Ahn Jinwoong) is not true, and we are preparing to issue a statement and take legal action regarding this."
Earlier, on the 17th, Tank posted an expos? video titled "You Are Still Being Deceived" on his YouTube channel. Although Tank did not directly name the person he was exposing, he mentioned incidents and programs that suggested Gil.
Tank also explained, "Everything I am about to say about him is true, and I have evidence such as recorded phone calls for some parts," and "He assaulted a manager, dated four girlfriends simultaneously, and for a year treated me and others like slaves without contracts, but did not pay any money."
Tank further revealed, "One of the four girlfriends he dated simultaneously was the late Oh Inhye," and claimed, "He cursed at Oh Inhye while she was cleaning the house, saying 'So damn noisy, XX'." He also said that when IU sent a video of herself singing Gil's song at a karaoke, Gil said, "'F***ing annoying, b****'."
Finally, Tank stated, "Three people connected to you have already taken their own lives," and added, "If you have a conscience, stop pretending to be pitiful and deceiving the public." The video has since been deleted.
In response, Gil's side said, "We have confirmed the facts with Gil's former manager and the current main composer of Magic Mansion living in Ohio," and added, "We will provide more detailed information once Gil's position is finalized."
They also requested, "Please refrain from media reports based on unfounded speculation."
