Bulgogi Burger Price Raised by 200 Won After 8 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] McDonald's announced on the 19th that it will adjust the prices of some menu items starting from the 25th.
The price adjustments apply to a total of 30 items, including 11 types of burgers, with increases ranging from 100 to 300 KRW. The average price increase across all items is 2.8%. The Big Mac and Max Spicy Shanghai Burger will rise from 4,500 KRW to 4,600 KRW, an increase of 100 KRW. The Bulgogi Burger will increase by 200 KRW for the first time in 8 years, reaching 2,200 KRW. Carbonated drinks will increase by 100 KRW, and coffee prices will rise by 100 to 300 KRW depending on size and type.
McDonald's explained, "The prices of major raw materials such as chicken, pork, eggs, tomatoes, and onions have surged by 20-30%, and labor costs have intensified over the past five years. We have minimized the price increase to reduce the burden on customers."
Meanwhile, McDonald's plans to reintroduce the lunch discount platform 'McLunch' to minimize the perceived burden on customers due to the price adjustments and to reflect the consistent requests from customers.
