On the 18th, photos of a banner said to have been hung by Yongbin, who supposedly became an instant millionaire through Bitcoin and resigned, circulated on online communities.

The photo showed a banner hanging at the Hanmi Pharmaceutical headquarters in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, with the words "Hanmi Pharmaceutical Resignation Yongbin, Thank you for everything so far." The post's author explained, "After earning 5 billion won through the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, he resigned and expressed his gratitude to Hanmi Pharmaceutical, where he had worked for 15 years."

Netizens commented with admiration, saying things like "Really envious," "The true winner of Hanmi Pharmaceutical," "Deserves to hang a banner," and "Congratulations, Yongbin hyung, be happy."

However, a Hanmi Pharmaceutical official stated, "The employee who worked for 15 years and retired hung the banner to show appreciation to colleagues, but the stories about Bitcoin, investment, and 5 billion won are all fictional." They added, "It seems that people who saw the banner made up those stories," and "We directly asked the retiree, and he said it was nonsense to say he resigned after making money."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the price of Bitcoin was about 50,000 USD (approximately 55 million won) per coin, more than four times higher than last year.
