[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Heo Kyung-hwan shared his thoughts on the prison sentence given to his business partner who embezzled company funds.
Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan posted on Instagram on the 18th, "I believe comedians should bring laughter, not burdens, so I endured and overcame quietly and handled this matter quietly, but there are many articles today (I think this is also a form of attention)."
Heo said, "Although I was betrayed by a trusted colleague, thanks to that colleague, I was able to stand up again. Thank you to everyone who was surprised, cheered, and worried today. It was a costly lesson, but thanks to it, I grow every year and the company seems to be stronger."
He added, "Now, I am very grateful to the customers who come looking at the products, not Heo Kyung-hwan, and to those who smile at my comedy. I will be more attentive in broadcasting and business."
Earlier, Heo’s business partner Mr. Yang was prosecuted on charges of embezzling a total of 2.73 billion won from 2010 to 2014 from a chicken breast food distribution company where Heo was the CEO, and was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison and fined 10 million won.

I believe comedians should bring laughter, not burdens, so
I endured and overcame quietly and handled this matter quietly, but there are many articles today ㅜㅜ ㅎㅎ (I think this is also a form of attention)
Although I was betrayed by a trusted colleague, thanks to that colleague, I was able to stand up again. Thank you to everyone who was surprised, cheered, and
worried about me. It was a costly lesson, but thanks to it, I grow every year and the company seems to be stronger.
Now, I am very grateful to the customers who come looking at the products, not Heo Kyung-hwan, and
to those who smile at my comedy. I will be more attentive in broadcasting and business^^ Have a happier day tomorrow
