[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On Thursday the 18th, the cold wave will continue due to cold air flowing in from the northwest.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) stated, "On this day, the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province will experience temperatures below -15°C, and the inland areas of Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong region, northern Gyeongbuk, and eastern Jeonbuk will see temperatures below -10°C."

According to the KMA, strong winds will also blow on this day, making the wind chill temperature even lower.

Snowfall of 5 to 15 cm is forecast in some areas until the morning.

Snow will fall along the west coast of Chungnam and the Jeolla region until noon, and there will be rain or snow in Jeju Island until 6 p.m.

The morning low temperatures are △Seoul -9°C △Chuncheon -12°C △Gangneung -8°C △Daejeon -8°C △Cheongju -8°C △Daegu -7°C △Gwangju -4°C △Jeonju -8°C △Busan -6°C △Jeju 1°C.

This cold wave will peak on this day and then temperatures will gradually recover from the afternoon of tomorrow (the 19th) as warm southwesterly winds blow.

Fine dust levels will be 'Good' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.

The KMA urged, "Please pay special attention to health management such as preventing weakened immunity and cold-related illnesses, and to facility management such as preventing water pipe bursts."
