[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Ki-dong] The social welfare corporation E-Land Welfare Foundation, along with Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center (Director Kang Ju-ho) and Hadang Senior Welfare Center (Director Shin Seong-hwa), held the 'Seol Holiday Sharing Warmth Table of Love' on the 9th.
This Seol holiday sharing event was conducted using funds raised through the E-Land Welfare Foundation's basic living support campaign for vulnerable groups, the 'Warmth Sharing Table' project, and was delivered to 330 households of elderly living alone and vulnerable seniors (180 households from Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center and 150 households from Hadang Senior Welfare Center) who would spend the Seol holiday alone.
The Warmth Sharing Table support items consisted of meal kit products that seniors can easily prepare, rice cake soup sets, and fruits. Support workers providing elderly-tailored care services visited each home to deliver the items directly and checked on the safety of seniors who would be alone during the holiday period.
Kang Ju-ho, director of Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center, said, "We thank many sponsors and the E-Land Welfare Foundation for supporting this Seol holiday Sharing Warmth Table of Love. Through this sharing, we hope that seniors living alone during the holiday can have a warm holiday."
Shin Seong-hwa, director of Hadang Senior Welfare Center, said, "We thank the E-Land Welfare Foundation for supporting the seniors in the Mokpo area during Seol, one of our nation's major holidays. We hope that the warm hearts of the sponsors will be conveyed so that seniors' homes are filled with laughter and happiness this Seol holiday."
Hadang Senior Welfare Center has been operated by the social welfare corporation E-Land Welfare Foundation under consignment from Mokpo City since July 2005 as a senior leisure facility.
Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center was established with the site provided by Mokpo City, and E-Land Construction and E-Land Welfare Foundation were responsible for the design and construction of the building. It was completed in 2011 as one of the nation's top-level senior welfare centers, donated to the city, and is currently operated under consignment.
Both institutions strive to pursue customer satisfaction and value, becoming good neighbors to the marginalized seniors in the region with sincerity and love, working together to create a happy and beautiful local community.
