[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] With up to 6,000 cumulative reviews for a single product and a tenfold increase in sales compared to the previous year, these figures represent the remarkable growth of the men's daily look specialty mall "Cheat-key (cheat-key.com)" over the past year. This success is the result of continuous efforts to meet customer needs. Lee Jong-hoon, CEO of Cheat-key (29), explained, "In addition to fits that suit the body shapes of average men, we support a wide range of sizes up to 3XL and use fabric that minimizes deformation even after washing through a special washing process."
The representative products are jogger pants and layered T-shirts. According to CEO Lee, these products account for about 20-30% of total sales as they have been diversified into various types. The "Low Premium Cargo Jogger Pants," which have recorded cumulative sales of over 10,000 units, use four-way stretch fabric that stretches well in all directions. Besides the jogger style with bands at the pant hems, they also offer chino pants with a straight cut and options to choose whether to have fleece lining, reflecting customers' diverse preferences in terms of materials and design.
CEO Lee said, "Even for products with the same fit and design, we often provide various options to suit different seasons. We release linen products for summer, cotton for spring and fall, and fleece for winter at affordable prices. As a result, many customers purchase multiple items in different colors and designs throughout all four seasons."
The layered T-shirts undergo "dumble washing," a process where heat and moisture are applied to the fabric before the garment is completed to enhance durability, and "tenter processing," where the fabric is dried at high temperatures of 180-200 degrees Celsius during the finishing stage to firmly set the fabric's shape, minimizing deformation after washing. Triple stitching prevents stretching around the neck, and the hem slit was extended to 9 cm to ensure the shirt pairs well with other clothing.
Cheat-key, which has built and operates its own shopping mall through the global e-commerce platform Cafe24, opened an Instagram shop using the "Facebook Shops" feature supported on the Cafe24 admin page. CEO Lee stated, "Product information uploaded on the Cafe24 admin page is linked in real-time to the Instagram shop, making it convenient to use. Through this, Instagram users naturally inquire about products or move to our shopping mall, leading to actual purchases."
Cheat-key plans to continue evolving into a shopping mall that satisfies even more people. CEO Lee said, "We aim for comfortable daily looks that anyone can wear. We intend to maintain this direction well and continue striving to meet customer needs with cost-effective products."
