[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong County announced on the 16th that it will sequentially reopen public facilities following the downgrade of social distancing measures in non-metropolitan areas to Level 1.5.
Facilities that can resume operations immediately will do so on the 16th, while those requiring prior preparation will return to normal operation starting on the 19th.
The facilities available from the 16th include Botjae, Korea Tea Museum, Boseong Sports Park (Dahyang Gymnasium, Tennis Courts), Archery Range (Cheonghakjeong, Gwandeokjeong), Beolgyo Sports Center, Beolgyo Soccer Field, Boknae Soccer Field, Hoecheon Baseball Field, All-weather Gateball Courts (9 locations), Yulpo Beach, Deukryangman Sea Fishing Park, Culture and Arts Center, County Baekmin Art Museum, Taebaeksanmaek Literature Museum, Pansori Sacred Site, Boseong Rural Public Library, Bangjingwan, Chungjeolsa, Hongam Nacheol Memorial Hall, Beolgyo Financial Cooperative, and Boseong Uibyung Memorial Hall.
On the 19th, Yulpo Sea Green Tea Center, Boseong National Sports Center, Jaeamsan Natural Recreation Forest, Jeonnam Environmental Disease Prevention and Management Center, Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Disabled Welfare Center, Sign Language Interpretation Center, Senior Welfare Center, Senior Club, Youth Culture House, Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center, and Disabled Mobility Support Center will resume operations.
The 447 senior citizen centers will set their reopening dates after the Lunar New Year holidays, taking into account the COVID-19 transmission trends and situations in other cities and counties.
A county official urged, “Since it is possible to raise the level to Level 2 at any time depending on the local outbreak situation, we ask for cooperation in strictly following personal quarantine rules when using public facilities so that everyone can use the facilities safely.”
Meanwhile, Boseong County will ensure strict compliance with quarantine guidelines such as operating electronic entry logs for visitor management, temperature checks, wearing masks inside facilities, and maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters. The county also plans to strengthen claims for damages against managers and users who violate quarantine rules.
