[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 16th that it will operate the 'Maintenance Project Academy' for redevelopment and reconstruction education online for free 24 hours a day.
The Maintenance Project Academy is a course where related experts such as lawyers, accountants, and architects provide customized education to maintenance project stakeholders, such as association executives and landowners, to help them carry out projects more smoothly and transparently. Despite COVID-19 last year, 6,384 people took the course.
This time, considering the COVID-19 situation, it will be operated online. The academy offers a 'General Course' for beginners in maintenance projects and an 'Advanced Course' that covers maintenance projects step by step. Detailed schedules and other information can be checked through the Seoul Maintenance Project e-Association system or the Clean-up system. Course registration is available at any time through the Seoul Lifelong Learning Portal and the Seoul Human Resources Development Institute.
Offline academies will be held with reduced numbers depending on future circumstances or conducted as real-time online education via YouTube, etc.
Kim Seongbo, Head of the Housing and Architecture Headquarters of Seoul, said, "By organizing a systematic and professional curriculum, it will be possible to enhance understanding of complex maintenance projects," adding, "It is expected to contribute not only to strengthening the capabilities of maintenance project participants but also to enhancing the transparency and professionalism of maintenance projects."
