Recruiting Participating Companies Until the 25th, Creating and Supporting 179 Youth Jobs
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do and the Gyeongsangnam-do Economic Promotion Agency announced on the 15th that they are recruiting companies to participate in the 'Gyeongnam-type New Deal Job Project.'
The 'Gyeongnam-type New Deal Job Project' is a program that provides job-seeking youth with various work experience opportunities and consulting support to connect them to private sector jobs.
Since its inception in 2018, 936 people have gained work experience at public institutions, companies, and social welfare facilities, and 155 have succeeded in finding employment.
Especially this year, to adapt to the changing employment environment, 'digital field' work experience and specialized education will be provided to help develop capabilities to respond to the post-COVID-19 era.
Additionally, digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies and small business owners with weak digital foundations will be actively supported.
The eligible companies are digital industry businesses or general companies such as existing manufacturing firms that wish to hire youth for positions utilizing digital technology.
Selected companies will receive support for youth wages of 2 million KRW (with a 10% company contribution) for up to 10 months.
A total of 179 youth hires will be supported across 15 cities and counties, and transportation and housing expenses will also be additionally provided to the hired youth.
Applications from participating companies are open until the 25th and can be submitted through the regional-led youth job project website.
