Every spring, the fine dust that blows in, combined with last year's COVID-19 pandemic hitting the country, has continuously increased consumers' interest in eco-friendliness.
When choosing a residence, whether it is equipped with green infrastructure has become the top priority for demanders over the years. In fact, as social distancing due to COVID-19 continued and outdoor activities rapidly decreased, the home expanded its function from a simple living space to a place responsible for daily life, rest, and leisure activities.
Recently, residential areas such as those near forests or water bodies have gained attention as emotional states caused by COVID-19, such as 'Corona Blue (depression)', 'Corona Red (anger)', and 'Corona Black (despair)', have become more diverse and deeper, and these areas can help alleviate such feelings.
In fact, the Korea Forest Service cited data from the Korea Tourism Organization's analysis of changes in national tourism behavior (Korea Tourism Organization, 2020) in its report published at the end of last year, "The Impact of COVID-19 on Korea's Forests, Forestry, and Mountain Villages (2020)," stating that as 'safety' became the top priority in overall tourism activities, there was a clear tendency to prefer 'safe, low-density outdoor activities with family in nature-friendly spaces near home.'
Additionally, the publication showed that in response to the question "Is the forest important for our lives?", 37.1% of respondents answered that it was not important before the outbreak of COVID-19, but after the outbreak, they responded that it was important.
Another study by the Korea Forest Service found that just walking 2 km on a forest trail for 30 minutes reduces negative emotions such as tension, depression, anger, and fatigue by more than 70%, indicating that preferences for forest-adjacent complexes are expected to increase further in the future.
Amid this, Taeyoung Construction has announced plans to supply 'Yongin D'Mark Desiang' in a location regarded as the lungs of Yongin, attracting the attention of demanders.
Yongin D'Mark Desiang is located throughout Yongin City, consisting of 8 buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 37 floors above ground, with a total of 1,308 households, of which 1,069 are for general supply. It features small to medium-sized units preferred by actual users, with exclusive areas ranging from 51 to 84㎡.
Right in front of the complex is Yongin Central Park, a large neighborhood park spanning approximately 320,000㎡, equivalent to the size of seven soccer fields, promising a pleasant residential environment. The park includes hiking trails, walking paths, a jokgu court, basketball courts, children's playgrounds, and various rest facilities. Additionally, the park next to the complex can be used like a front yard, and the Gyeongan Stream flows along the east side of the complex, offering waterfront views. Nearby are also Dolbongsan, Bongdusan, and Mapyeong Hills, enabling a comfortable life in harmony with nature.
Excellent transportation and living infrastructure are also advantages. The Yongin Everline stations, Undongjang and Songdam University, and Yongin Intercity Bus Terminal are nearby, making public transportation convenient. Through the Yeongdong Expressway (Yongin IC), residents can enjoy a well-connected metropolitan transportation network. Especially, once the newly established GTX-A line (planned) and Seoul-Sejong Expressway (planned) open, accessibility to Seoul and the metropolitan area is expected to improve further. Moreover, Yongin D'Mark Desiang is adjacent to the core Rodeo Street commercial district as well as the Gorim and Yeokbuk districts, which is another strength. The complex is also located within a 1 km radius of educational facilities (Yongin Elementary School, Yongin Middle School, Taeseong Middle School, Taeseong High School, etc.), making it part of a school zone, and several universities such as Myongji University, Yongin University, and Yongin Songdam University are nearby, providing an excellent educational environment.
A sales official said, "Yongin D'Mark Desiang is adjacent to Yongin Central Park, regarded as the lungs of Yongin, so it is expected to be very popular among demanders interested in eco-friendly complexes," adding, "With convenient transportation and residential infrastructure, a concentration of demanders who have been waiting for new supply in the area is expected."
Meanwhile, the model house for 'Yongin D'Mark Desiang' will be located in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, and is scheduled to open in March.
