Foreigners, 'Lions' for 2 Consecutive Weeks... Kakao Most Bought

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Foreign investors showed buying momentum in the domestic stock market for two consecutive weeks.


According to the Korea Exchange on the 14th, foreign investors net purchased about 201.8 billion KRW in the domestic stock market during the week from the 8th to the 10th. They bought 168 billion KRW in the KOSPI market and 33.7 billion KRW in the KOSDAQ market, respectively.


The stock most purchased by foreign investors last week was Kakao. Foreign investors net bought Kakao for 427.7 billion KRW last week. Next, they purchased NAVER for 156.6 billion KRW. In addition, they net bought NCSoft (66.5 billion KRW), POSCO (66.3 billion KRW), KB Financial Group (57.3 billion KRW), AfreecaTV (53.1 billion KRW), Shinhan Financial Group (46.8 billion KRW), Daehan Petrochemical (46.0 billion KRW), Lotte Chemical (40.7 billion KRW), and OCI (40.2 billion KRW).


The stock most sold by foreign investors last week was Samsung Electronics. Foreign investors net sold Samsung Electronics for 406.6 billion KRW last week. Next, they sold Kia Motors for 182.6 billion KRW. In addition, Hyundai Mobis (133.5 billion KRW), SK Innovation (93.5 billion KRW), LG Chem (79.3 billion KRW), PV Pharma (79.1 billion KRW), Kumho Petrochemical (69.4 billion KRW), SK Hynix (67.2 billion KRW), Green Cross (30.1 billion KRW), and CJ CheilJedang (29.0 billion KRW) were among the top stocks net sold by foreign investors.
