The Institute of Educational Research and Information to Host 'SEPI Nanum Online Forum' on the 8th and 9th



[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Education Research and Information Institute under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the '2020 SEPI Sharing' online forum from the 8th to the 9th.


This forum is an occasion to select and present research conducted by the Seoul Education Policy Institute in 2020 that can contribute to Seoul education policy and improvements in school sites.


On the 8th, 7 out of 13 internal research papers conducted by the research members of the Seoul Education Policy Institute will be presented. Research results such as "COVID-19, Educational Exploration and Development Plans for Remote Classes: Focusing on Teachers' Class Experiences" and "Analysis of Educational Needs of Educationally Disadvantaged Students for the Establishment of the Integrated Educational Welfare Support System" will be announced.


On the 9th, 3 out of 17 commissioned research papers from universities and specialized research institutions, and 3 out of 10 field research papers conducted by on-site teaching staff will be presented. Results such as "10 Years of Seoul Innovation Education Policy Research" and "Development and Operation Plans for an Elementary Students' Listening Skills Improvement Program" will be shared.


The 2020 SEPI Sharing Forum will be conducted through the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Institute's YouTube channel. Research reports will be published on the Research and Information Institute's website. The Education Policy Research Institute of the Education Research and Information Institute conducts various research and forums, including internal research, commissioned research, and field research, to lead the direction of Seoul education policy.


Im Yuwon, Director of the Education Research and Information Institute, said, "This online forum is an opportunity for researchers to present their research content in an easy-to-understand manner to widely share the meaning and achievements of policy research," and added, "We hope to share the current status, improvement directions, and policy suggestions of our education revealed through research with the education office and school sites to create opportunities for critical empathy and reflection, contributing to the development of Seoul education policy."
