Gyeongnam Province Reports 10 New COVID-19 Cases... Total 2,010 Confirmed (Comprehensive Report 2)

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As of 5 PM on the 5th, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that a total of 10 confirmed cases have occurred: 3 in Miryang, 2 each in Changwon and Geoje, and 1 each in Jinju, Changnyeong, and Yangsan.


Among the confirmed cases in Miryang, one person who had contact with a confirmed case in Busan tested positive and was classified as case number 2005.


One family member of case 2005 also tested positive and was classified as case number 2006. Case 2006 works at a company in Miryang, and the quarantine authorities are conducting tests on 162 employees at the workplace.


One person who had contact with a confirmed case in the province tested positive and was classified as case number 2012.


Among the two confirmed cases in Changwon, one person tested positive after contact with a confirmed case in the province and was classified as case number 2004.


One person who felt symptoms on their own got tested and was classified as case number 2007 after testing positive. The infection route is under investigation.


Both confirmed cases in Geoje tested positive after contact with confirmed cases in the province and were classified as case numbers 2008 and 2009.


The one confirmed case in Jinju was an overseas entrant who developed symptoms during quarantine and tested positive, classified as case number 2011.


The one confirmed case in Changnyeong tested positive during quarantine after contact with a confirmed case in the province and was classified as case number 2010.


The one confirmed case in Yangsan tested positive after entering from Hungary and was classified as case number 2013.


Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 2,010 (154 hospitalized, 1,848 discharged, 8 deceased).
