Seodaeseok, Mayor of Gwangju Seo-gu, Joins the 'Expecting Local Autonomy Challenge'

According to Seo-gu on the 5th, this challenge is a campaign started by the Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy to announce the determination and plans to prepare for a resident-centered local autonomy era, following the passage of the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act and laws related to autonomous police by the National Assembly last year.

The campaign proceeds by taking photos with messages about local autonomy, posting them on SNS, and designating the next participants.

Seo Daeseok, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, "With the revision of the Local Autonomy Act, we are entering a new turning point in the era of local autonomy," and added, "We will do our best to realize true grassroots democracy where residents are the owners."

Meanwhile, Mayor Seo designated Gwangju City Council members Jang Jaesung and Hwang Hyuntaek as the next participants in the challenge.
