Yangsan City Develops 'NubiMap' for Easy Access to Last Year's Convenience Facility Installation Status

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 5th that the NubiMap app, developed to help the safe outings of mobility-impaired individuals, was selected as an exemplary case in the '2020 Social Welfare Facility Evaluation.'
The 'NubiMap Map Creation Project,' funded by the Disabled Welfare Fund, is a participatory map-making project that creates, shares, and utilizes an online map of convenience facility information within the region.
Users can easily search the status of convenience facility installations and register information they know. Citizens who wish to participate can join this meaningful effort to guarantee the mobility rights of the disadvantaged through the NubiMap app.
A participating disabled person said, "Because I can check convenience facility information in advance through NubiMap, I am not afraid to go outside, and it gives me confidence. I am very pleased and grateful."
The director of the Yangsan Disabled Welfare Center stated, "If citizens take the lead in participating to create a community where mobility-impaired individuals such as the disabled, children, and the elderly can live conveniently, we will be able to create an even more perfect NubiMap."
