[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that starting from the 5th, disaster relief funds will be distributed, and public officials from team leaders of grade 6 and above, including County Governor Shin Woo-cheol, will participate in the "Good Donation Campaign" by donating their disaster relief funds.

The disaster relief fund "Good Donation Campaign" began after an emergency meeting on the 30th of last month for the distribution of emergency disaster relief funds, where County Governor Shin Woo-cheol took the lead by stating, "I will donate disaster relief funds to support local small business owners struggling due to COVID-19."

The disaster relief fund "Good Donation Campaign" is open to all eligible recipients of the disaster relief funds. Those who wish to participate can receive the disaster relief funds (Wando Love Gift Certificates) and donate them to the Wando-gun Happiness Welfare Foundation.

The disaster relief funds donated to the Wando-gun Happiness Welfare Foundation will be used to purchase goods through local small business owners and then used to help neighbors in need.

The disaster relief fund "Good Donation Campaign" is also supported by related organizations such as the NongHyup Wando Branch, Wando County Forestry Cooperative, Wando NongHyup, and Wando Geumil Fisheries Cooperative, which is expected to revitalize the local economy frozen by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

County Governor Shin Woo-cheol expressed, "I am grateful that public officials are also participating in the donation of disaster relief funds," and added, "Although it is a small amount, I hope it will be an opportunity to share some hope with our local small business owners who are going through difficult times due to COVID-19."

Meanwhile, Wando-gun's disaster relief funds will be distributed as Wando Love Gift Certificates worth 100,000 KRW per person to residents registered in Wando-gun as of January 31st, starting from the 5th for one month.

Household heads must apply by the 5th of next month, receive a gift certificate receipt, and exchange it for Wando Love Gift Certificates at NongHyup, Suhyup, Chukhyup, Forestry Cooperative, ShinHyup, Saemaeul Geumgo, etc., by the 8th.

To ensure the gift certificates are distributed quickly, a household head application system is introduced instead of individual applications, and for residents' convenience, from the 5th to the 19th, township and town officials will provide a "visiting application service" by village.

Households that miss the application during the distribution period can visit the township or town office to apply from the 22nd until the 5th of the following month.
