Focused Management on Investment Projects Over 500 Million Won... "Aiming for Stability in Residents' Lives"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 5th that it plans to expedite the execution of 83.8 billion KRW out of the 139.6 billion KRW local finance rapid execution target amount for this year during the first half of the year.
By June, about 60% of the annual local finance rapid execution target amount will be injected into the market to promote vitality in the local domestic economy through production, consumption, and distribution.
To this end, Nam-gu has organized a local finance execution status inspection team consisting of Deputy District Mayor Lee Jeong-sik, Planning Office Director, Accounting Section Chief, and Project Department Heads to check execution performance and other matters.
The key focus areas for the first half include urban regeneration and living SOC projects involving large-scale project costs of over 500 million KRW, projects providing convenience to residents' lives, and residents' long-standing projects.
First, for the promotion of urban regeneration projects in Yangnim-dong, Sajik-dong, and Baegun Square areas, 4.86 billion KRW, 4.74 billion KRW, and 4.68 billion KRW will be invested respectively within the first half of the year.
In the living SOC project sector, financial expenditures of 2.7 billion KRW and 1.8 billion KRW will be made for the construction of administrative welfare centers in Wolsan 4-dong and Bongseon 2-dong respectively, and 600 million KRW will also be expended early for the construction of the Family Love Sharing Center.
Rapid execution project funds will also be invested in infrastructure construction to improve residents' convenience.
First, 900 million KRW will be used for the creation of a public parking lot in Yangnim-dong, 660 million KRW for the public parking lot in Wolsan 5-dong, and 420 million KRW each for the public parking lots in Bangnim 2-dong and Baegun 1-dong.
Additionally, in the residents' long-standing projects sector, 600 million KRW will be allocated for the maintenance project of the frequently flooded area in Chilseok-dong as part of disaster risk area improvement, 1.08 billion KRW for the rural village sewage system maintenance in Guso and Sinjang districts, and 1.56 billion KRW for the creation of Jinwol Comprehensive Sports Complex.
Furthermore, Nam-gu plans to increase financial expenditures for about 100 projects including various job creation projects and welfare support projects for the disabled to revitalize the economy and stabilize residents' lives.
