Kim Jin-gyun, President of Sh Suhyup Bank, Donates Daily Necessities to 11 Fishing Villages Nationwide for Lunar New Year On the 4th, Kim Jin-gyun, the bank president (left in the photo), visited the Goseong County Fisheries Cooperative in Gyeongnam and presented a holiday gift set to Hwang Wol-sik, the cooperative head, and took a commemorative photo.


[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Sh Suhyup Bank announced on the 5th that it held the ‘Saranghae (海) Neighbor Finding’ event, a love-sharing event for fishing villages, to celebrate the Lunar New Year.


The Saranghae Neighbor Finding event, a representative social contribution program of Suhyup Bank, is an event that visits marginalized neighbors in fishing villages to deliver various daily necessities such as rice and ramen and exchange holiday greetings. It is operated with funds raised through a matching grant system by the bank, based on voluntary donations collected from employees.


This event was conducted by key executives including President Kim Jin-kyun and regional financial headquarters heads visiting 11 fishing village areas nationwide to deliver support supplies to about 1,100 fishing households.


President Kim visited Jeonnam Yeonggwang County Suhyup (Chairman Seo Jae-chang), Gyeongnam Goseong County Suhyup (Chairman Hwang Wol-sik), and Sacheon Suhyup (Chairman Kim Ki-young) on the 2nd and 4th. He said, “Although everyone is going through difficult times due to COVID-19, I hope we can share warmer affection with our neighbors especially at times like this.”
