Asiana A380 International Sightseeing Flight Available for Purchase with Mileage

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Asiana Airlines' 'A380 Same-Day Overseas Trip' flight product will now be available for purchase using mileage.

Asiana Airlines announced that starting from the 5th, mileage sales for the 'A380 Same-Day Overseas Trip' flight product operating on the 5th, 13th, 14th, 21st, and 28th will begin.

Business Smartium can be purchased by deducting 50,000 miles, and Economy class for flights in February can be purchased by deducting 15,000 miles, which is a 50% discount compared to the regular fare. Reservations and ticketing are only possible through the Asiana Airlines reservation center.

Asiana Airlines launched the 'A380 Korean Peninsula Round-Trip Flight' in October last year and the 'A380 Same-Day Overseas Trip' product in December, conducting 7 domestic flights and 2 international flights.

The flight departs from Incheon at 10:30 AM on the designated day, flies over Busan, Fukuoka, and Jeju, and returns to Incheon at 12:50 PM. Since it is an international flight, passengers must carry their passports, and they can use Asiana Airlines' onboard duty-free shop as well as duty-free shops at Incheon Airport and downtown duty-free shops.

However, for Asiana Airlines' onboard duty-free shop, on-site orders are not possible; purchases can only be made if pre-ordered through Asiana Airlines' online duty-free shop. All passengers will receive a small souvenir.

Asiana Airlines complies with COVID-19 prevention guidelines and does not provide in-flight meal service, operating only 298 seats out of 495. The last three rows are used as isolation spaces for quarantine purposes, strengthening social distancing onboard.

An Asiana Airlines official stated, "We have restructured the system to allow customers to purchase international flight products using mileage so that more customers can enjoy the pleasure of travel."

Starting from the 8th, Asiana Airlines will also hold an event for customers using mileage to access the Incheon International Airport business lounge. The range of customers eligible to use the lounge will be expanded until June 30th. Previously, Silver members were restricted from using the lounge, but now they can use mileage to bring one companion. Gold members, who previously could only use mileage for themselves, can now use mileage for an additional companion as well. Mileage deduction is 3,000 miles per person.
