Lotte Card Reveals Winners of Roca UCC Contest with Total Prize of 100 Million KRW

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card announced on the 5th that it has selected the final 16 award-winning works of the ‘LOCA UCC Contest’ and revealed them through the official Lotte Card blog.

The Grand Prize was awarded to the work titled ‘The Properly Boundary-Crossing Card Used by Crazy Sisters’ by ‘Kimteak KIMTEAK (Kim Se-hyun, Lee Jin-hong, Kim Min-jo, Jo Yi-jin).’ This work introduces the benefits of the LOCA series through an addictive rap. It received excellent evaluations for the completeness of the song, visual quality, and acting skills, and also achieved good results in online voting, earning the honor of winning the award.

Grand Prize winner Kim Se-hyun said, “I think the passion of the actors and the filming crew, who showed impressive performances despite the severe cold of over minus 10 degrees Celsius, was captured in the work, creating a great synergy effect,” and added, “I would like to express my gratitude to Lotte Card for hosting the event.”

The LOCA UCC Contest was a video competition held last year by Lotte Card with a total prize of 100 million KRW, themed around LOCA. Lotte Card selected the winners by combining internal evaluation scores, views and likes scores, and online voting scores, awarding one Grand Prize, two Excellence Awards, three Merit Awards, and ten Encouragement Awards. The final winning works can be viewed on Lotte Card’s official YouTube channel.

The prize money for the winners is 50 million KRW for the Grand Prize, 10 million KRW for the Excellence Awards, 5 million KRW for the Merit Awards, and 1 million KRW for the Encouragement Awards. Lotte Card also plans to provide a 50,000 KRW gift card as a participation prize to 100 works that were not selected as winners.

A Lotte Card official said, “It was an opportunity to communicate with customers through various expressions of LOCA directly created by them,” and added, “The works selected as winners will be utilized as digital content in the future.”
