[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] NS Home Shopping announced on the 5th that it will hold the 3rd encore broadcast of 'Hadonggwan's Hadongga Gomtang' on the 8th, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
'Hadonggwan's Hadongga Gomtang' is an NPB (National Private Brand) product made into HMR (Home Meal Replacement) featuring the traditional taste of 'Hadonggwan,' famous for its gomtang preserved over four generations since 1939. It is exclusively available at NS Home Shopping. About 10,000 sets were sold over a month through NS Home Shopping's T-commerce, mobile, and shopping book channels, including 4,000 sets in the first launch broadcast and 4,100 sets in the second broadcast last year.
Hadonggwan is a highly acclaimed restaurant, selected for four consecutive years in the 'Michelin Guide,' a global gourmet guide, and for 16 consecutive years in Korea's restaurant guide, the 'Blue Ribbon Survey.' It is a prestigious brand in the food service industry that has captivated the tastes of Koreans and international travelers for 82 years with only gomtang.
'Hadonggwan's Hadongga Gomtang,' made in the traditional Hadonggwan style, is characterized by its light and clear broth generously filled with beef shank and beef brisket. It contains a golden ratio combination of beef cuts and adds the clean flavors of domestic green onions, onions, and radish, capturing the clear and light broth taste that can only be experienced at Hadonggwan stores. As a shelf-stable product, it reduces concerns about refrigerator space, and each pack contains 700g, offering a more generous portion than the 450g served in stores.
An NS Home Shopping official said, "This product was planned over a year in collaboration with Hadonggwan, Korea's best gomtang, to conveniently bring the deep and clear broth of premium gomtang to customers' tables." He added, "We will continue to expand customer touchpoints through T-commerce, mobile, shopping books, and secure supply to deliver Hadonggwan's Hadongga Gomtang and its brand value to more customers."
