Man Wielding Bladed Weapon Attacks Apartment Residents in Gwangju, Flees... 1 Dead

According to the Gwangju Bukbu Police Station on the 5th, around 8:30 PM the previous day, resident A in an apartment complex in Duam-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, wielded a weapon at neighbors and then escaped.

The victims of the weapon attack were an elderly man and woman in their 80s. The man was transported to the hospital unconscious but passed away, while the woman was seriously injured and is receiving treatment.

A is reported to have left the scene on foot immediately after the crime.

The police are searching around the apartment complex and pursuing A, who fled.

The motive for the crime has not been confirmed.
