Ministry of the Interior and Safety Revamps Public Open Resources Integrated Management Platform 'Gongyunuri Service'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The integrated platform for public resource sharing, "Gongyunu-ri," which allows users to search and reserve public open resources held by administrative and public institutions nationwide, is launching an intelligent sharing service with enhanced user convenience features.

On the 4th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that the revamped Gongyunu-ri services, including a mobile app, user location-based public open resource information provision, personalized services, and easy-click functions, will be available to the public starting from the 5th.

With this update, citizens using shared resources will be able to search, reserve, and get directions all at once through Gongyunu-ri’s user location-based sharing map service. Notably, the revamped service introduces an AI chatbot service capable of real-time consultation guidance and also provides a voice recognition service considerate of information-vulnerable groups.

Additionally, the personalized Gongyunu-ri service and easy-click functions make it simple and fast to find desired public resources. The "personalized Gongyunu-ri service" recommends tailored public resources by utilizing users’ past search and reservation history, registered interests, and data from similar users. Users can easily find necessary shared resources through keyword search or by simply clicking location, address, or category, and can also bookmark or share them via acquaintances’ SNS.

Furthermore, a new mobile Gongyunu-ri app service will be launched, enabling citizens to conveniently use the service anytime and anywhere via their smartphones, which is expected to increase the utilization of Gongyunu-ri services. In addition, to promote public use, public open resource information will be provided to the private sector, and through private cooperation, linked services with platforms such as Naver and Kakao will be expanded. The Ministry plans to enhance user satisfaction by offering various services such as free parking information during holidays, free parking information around COVID-19 screening clinics and city/county/district vaccination centers, and expanded rental services for quarantine supplies.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the reopening of the newly revamped Gongyunu-ri, an online public participation event will be held, including "new member registration," "submission of improvement suggestions," and "promoting Gongyunu-ri via SNS." Detailed information can be found on the Gongyunu-ri website or the mobile Gongyunu-ri app.

Han Chang-seop, Director of Government Innovation Organization at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated, “Gongyunu-ri is a connecting platform where the general public can rent and share spaces and goods owned by administrative institutions, representing a meaningful public service that enhances the efficient use of public resources and improves citizens’ convenience in daily life.” He added, “We will continue to establish institutional foundations and strive to ensure that Gongyunu-ri services settle into citizens’ daily lives without inconvenience.”
