Seoul Gangseo-gu to Sell 'Seoul Gangseo Love Gift Certificates' on the 4th... Available at a 10% Discount Until 18 Billion Won Issued Amount is Sold Out
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that starting from 2 PM on the 4th, it will sell the 'Seoul Gangseo Love Gift Certificate' worth 18 billion KRW.
The Gangseo Love Gift Certificate is a mobile local currency usable at Zero Pay affiliated stores, designed as a support measure to increase small business owners' income through revitalizing consumption.
The Gangseo Love Gift Certificate can be purchased at a 10% discount until the 18 billion KRW supply is exhausted. However, individuals can purchase up to 700,000 KRW per month, with a holding limit of 2 million KRW. The validity period is 5 years from the date of issuance.
Purchasing and using the gift certificates is possible through 17 mobile apps including ▲Biple Zero Pay ▲Money Tree ▲Check Pay ▲Payco ▲T-money Pay ▲Nonghyup All One Bank ▲Gyeongnam Bank BNK ▲Busan Bank Some Bank ▲Daegu Bank IM Shop, among others.
Eligible stores include about 13,000 Zero Pay affiliated businesses located in Gangseo-gu such as restaurants, beauty salons, pharmacies, and convenience stores. These can be confirmed on the 'Zero Pay website - Zero Pay Introduction - Find Affiliated Stores'. However, in line with the purpose of supporting small business owners, the gift certificates cannot be used at large supermarkets like E-mart and Lotte Mart, or in luxury and entertainment industries.
In particular, residents using the gift certificates can enjoy a 30% income deduction benefit during year-end tax settlement, and affiliated stores have the advantage of no payment fees, making it highly attractive.
A district official said, "The Gangseo Love Gift Certificate, which benefits both small business owners through increased consumption and consumers through discounted purchases, is about to be launched," adding, "We hope the local love gift certificate will help the recovery of the local economy."
Meanwhile, last year, the district sold a total of 16.5 billion KRW worth of Gangseo Love Gift Certificates in three rounds, contributing to revitalizing the local economy that had been depressed due to COVID-19.
