KIPO Supports 'Solo Electronic Filing' Outreach Electronic Filing Education

KIPO Supports 'Solo Electronic Filing' Outreach Electronic Filing Education Provided by the Korean Intellectual Property Office

[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting applicants to participate in the ‘Visiting Electronic Application Support Training’ and ‘Intellectual Property Invitation Training’.

The training targets individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) wishing to receive education on electronic applications and intellectual property rights.

The visiting electronic application support involves professional instructors visiting the site directly to conduct practice-oriented customized training. If applicants feel burdened by on-site visits, they can participate in the training online via a video conferencing platform.

The main training content consists of a total of nine courses ranging from basic courses such as intellectual property introduction, information search, and electronic application to specialized courses, allowing applicants to select the courses they need. Applications are accepted from the 2nd to the 28th of this month.

The intellectual property invitation training is a newly established course this year, providing basic education programs such as electronic application and information search to individuals and small enterprises with fewer than 10 employees.

The training content is organized annually in the order of patents, utility models, trademarks, and designs, focusing on basic education for electronic applications and information search. The training is conducted online using a video conferencing platform and accepts up to 50 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. The application period is from the 2nd of this month to the 19th of next month.

For more details, please refer to the KIPO website, KIPRIS, or contact the Application Support Training Office at the Korea Intellectual Property Information Service.

Park Jong-joo, Director of the Information Customer Support Bureau at KIPO, said, “In preparation for the post-COVID-19 era, we will expand online training that enables real-time communication with instructors and spare no effort to provide an environment where anyone can easily file electronic applications.”
