Confirmed March Groundbreaking by Leading Domestic Company POSCO Construction
Scarcity Increased with Acquisition of Permit for Jeju's Last Large-Scale Resort
The high-end resort in Jeju, ‘The Siena,’ has finally revealed itself.
Constructed by POSCO Engineering & Construction, the project began in March 2021 and aims to open in February 2023.
The Siena Resort is a high-end resort-style retreat that perfectly recreates Siena, a region in Tuscany, Italy, known for its most glorious medieval moments, embracing the Mediterranean. It features the unique European Gothic style and top-tier facilities.
A representative of The Siena Resort introduced it as “a year-round complex resort including accommodations, leisure, and various community facilities.”
They added, “Targeting the top 1% clientele who pursue high-level luxury through artistic value and cultural life, combined with satisfaction from premium interiors and the richness of life enjoyed through 7-star hotel services, this resort is expected to become a landmark in Jeju’s leisure industry.”
The location is also notably efficient. Situated on a 26,043㎡ site in Seogwipo City, a tourism special zone with pristine views between Jeju’s sea and Hallasan Mountain, it is adjacent to the Jungmun Tourist Complex and the International English City, as well as close to a healthcare town and large supermarkets.
The scale covers approximately 6,000 pyeong across basement levels 1 and 2 and above-ground floors 1 to 3, featuring 88 rooms in total: three standalone pool villa buildings of type A (86 pyeong), three of type B (120 pyeong), 34 rooms of villa type C (62 pyeong), and 48 rooms of villa type D (48 pyeong). Various community facilities such as a kids caf?, club lounge, infinity pool, and heated pool are also included.
Moreover, The Siena is known as the last resort in Jeju to have obtained a large-scale resort permit, raising even greater expectations.
The Siena Resort is one of the key projects of Jeju Toscana Hotel, which enjoys great success as a year-round heated pool and hotel vacation destination not only in Jeju but also nationwide. The hotel plans to directly manage the resort to maintain its state-of-the-art facilities with hotel-grade services.
For those who have experienced discomfort due to somewhat aging facilities and ongoing management neglect at other high-end resort complexes in Jeju that have been completed for over 10 years, The Siena’s modern buildings and hotel-provided room maintenance, cleaning, and management systems will be a significant advantage.
A representative of The Siena Resort stated, “Designed as a true leisure resort where the top 1% and above clientele who own luxury resorts can enjoy Jeju’s vast nature while also experiencing urban luxury life, The Siena will be continuously managed by Jeju Toscana Hotel, which thrives on excellent year-round service, minimizing inconveniences related to post-sale management neglect. We plan to offer a refined daily life to the ‘young rich’ who pursue their own high quality with a cultural and artistic perspective.” This revealed the resort’s vision and competitiveness.
