BBQ's Hot Golden Olive Chicken Sells 2.5 Million Units in 9 Months Since Launch


[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Genesis BBQ, a domestic chicken franchise, announced on the 1st that its 'Hot Golden Olive Chicken' has sold 2.5 million units within 9 months of its launch. This amounts to a sales value of approximately 50 billion KRW at consumer prices. When comparing the length of the sold chicken packages, it equals the round-trip distance from Seoul Tollgate to Busan Tollgate.


In April last year, BBQ released four products that added spiciness to the Golden Olive Chicken. In particular, the 'Crispy Chicken' has shown the highest order volume from its launch until now. The company analyzed that this is because it is the most suitable flavor for the whole family to enjoy, from snacks to side dishes.


On the 6th, BBQ introduced the 'Golden Olive Thigh Chicken' and 'Hot Golden Olive Thigh Chicken,' which combine the taste and juicy thigh parts of the 'Golden Olive Chicken' and 'Hot Golden Olive Chicken.'
