Overseas Remittance Event to Celebrate the New Year of the Year of the Ox

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hana Bank announced on the 1st that it will hold the 'Have You Tried HanaEZ?' overseas remittance event to celebrate the New Year of the Year of the Ox.

Hana Bank is conducting an event until the end of February, offering up to 15,000 Hana Money by giving 5,000 Hana Money each to the first 2,021 customers in three categories through the overseas remittance specialized application (app) 'HanaEZ': customers using overseas remittance for the first time, customers receiving overseas remittance via Western Union for the first time, and customers designated as foreign exchange banks for gift remittances.

Additionally, Hana Bank has enhanced its non-face-to-face functions by restructuring the Western Union overseas remittance receiving service, which was previously only available at branches, to allow direct receipt into accounts through the 'HanaEZ' app. This will significantly improve customer convenience by enabling both sending and receiving overseas remittances via the Western Union network without visiting a branch.

A representative from Hana Bank's Foreign Exchange Business Division stated, “We planned this event to support customers who send and receive remittances with family and acquaintances living abroad despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19,” and added, “As a specialized foreign exchange bank, we will strive to bring greater joy and satisfaction to our customers.”
