[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 28th that Governor Lee Cheol-woo has started remote work from home after being confirmed to have come into contact with a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) at the official residence.


Governor Lee attended an event on the 26th where the Gyeongbuk Youth Volunteer Group donated COVID-19 prevention supplies to elderly residents in the province. It was later confirmed that a confirmed case occurred among the attendees of the event.


On the 28th, Governor Lee Cheol-woo underwent a COVID-19 test and entered self-quarantine in accordance with quarantine guidelines.


A Gyeongbuk provincial official stated, "The governor is making every effort to ensure that there is no disruption in provincial administration by using non-face-to-face methods such as video conferences."
