Intermediary Bank Fee of USD 2 for Remittances to the United States!
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank will lower fees by revamping its small-amount overseas remittance exclusive service, 'KB-Easy Overseas Remittance Service,' starting from the 29th.
With this revamp, for US dollars and euros, overseas remittances can be sent at a low intermediary bank fee of USD 2, and for other currencies, USD 4. Previously, overseas intermediary fees ranged from USD 18 to 25 depending on the amount, but fee reduction has become possible through partnerships with overseas banks.
The KB-Easy Overseas Remittance Service is a non-face-to-face exclusive service that allows remittances of up to USD 5,000 24/7 throughout the year via the KB Star Banking application (app) without visiting a branch. The service is available to resident individual customers who are citizens of the Republic of Korea, and unlike existing mobile overseas remittance, it allows easy remittance without designating a foreign exchange bank for the transaction.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, “We will continue to do our best to provide various benefits and differentiated untact services to customers using foreign exchange services.”
