Maeil Dairies Launches 'Sugar-Free Health Boost Project'

Joint Live Broadcast with Dietary Research Brand Muhwadang on the 29th

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Maeil Doyou, a soy milk brand of Maeil Dairies, announced on the 28th that it will carry out the "Remove Sugar and Fill with Health Project" in collaboration with a small but strong company that focuses on sugar-free products.

Maeil Dairies, noting that existing soy milk products are sweetened with sugar, launched Maeil Doyou in 2016, which can be enjoyed deliciously without sugar.

The "Remove Sugar and Fill with Health" project was planned to promote the value of healthiness that Maeil Doyou possesses, along with the advantages of a lifestyle with reduced sugar. To this end, Maeil Doyou plans to conduct unique live broadcasts based on collaborations with various brands and introduce products with different compositions from before.

The first partner to join hands with Maeil Doyou is Muhwadang, a dietary research brand pursuing a healthy diet. Muhwadang’s CEO Song Jeyoon personally experienced the importance and difficulty of diet management due to the onset of diabetes during adolescence, and based on that experience, founded Muhwadang. Therefore, Muhwadang aims to "develop products that anyone can comfortably consume" and adheres to three principles: no sugar, no flour, and low carbohydrates. The representative products sold by Muhwadang are bakery items made without sugar and flour.

Maeil Dairies will hold a joint live broadcast with Muhwadang on Naver Shopping Live at 11 a.m. on the 29th. This joint live broadcast, made possible by sincerity regarding sugar-free products, will feature explorations about sugar, experiences of healthy living without sugar, delicious food without sugar, and a prize draw for participants in the comments. The broadcast will feature Muhwadang CEO Song Jeyoon, actress Lizzy (Park Soo-young) from After School, and stylist Seo Soo-kyung.

During the broadcast, various products including the Muhwadang cookie planning pack, eco-friendly reusable cooler bag "RB Bag," Maeil Doyou pouches, almond snack nuts, and planning packs composed of Maeil Doyou will be sold.
