"Coca-Cola Launches 'Seagram Label-Free' Removing Labels"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Coca-Cola announced on the 28th that it will launch the 'Seagram Label-Free' product.

'Seagram Label-Free' is a product that eliminates labels and achieves plastic lightweighting used in PET bottles. It was introduced as part of Coca-Cola's efforts to create positive resource circulation for society and the environment by increasing the recycling rate of transparent PET bottles and reducing the amount of plastic used from the production stage.

'Seagram Label-Free' removes the hassle of label removal, enhancing the convenience of separate disposal and supporting consumption for a sustainable environment. It is also expected to improve recycling efficiency during the sorting process of separately disposed transparent PET bottles.

Furthermore, beyond removing labels, it reduces the amount of plastic used in PET bottles, further enhancing its eco-friendly significance. In addition to the newly introduced Seagram 450ml product, the plastic lightweighting of all Seagram PET products is expected to reduce plastic by 445 tons annually.

Instead of attaching labels to transparent PET containers, the product name and logo are embossed directly on the package itself, preserving both the three-dimensional feel and the transparency of the product. The package cap is presented in its unique green color.

The Seagram Label-Free is offered as an online channel exclusive product in a bundle of 20 units of the 'Seagram Lemon 450ml' product. Product-related information previously printed on the labels is now included on the overall packaging of the bundle. It is planned to gradually apply this to other Seagram products to further reduce plastic use and increase packaging recycling rates.
