[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 28th that it will advance the recruitment schedule for new public officials in infectious disease response and select 19 public officials in the fields of veterinary medicine, nursing, and public health starting next month.
The number of recruits by field is divided as follows: ▲Veterinary Grade 7 ? 2 persons ▲Nursing Grade 8 ? 9 persons ▲Public Health Grade 9 ? 5 persons ▲Public Health Researcher (Public Health) ? 3 persons, and they will be selected through a competitive career appointment exam.
Applications will be accepted from the 8th to the 10th of next month. After the application period, the city will finalize the selected candidates through written exams, document screening, and interviews.
Compared to last year, when recruitment procedures for nursing and public health fields were conducted in June and for public health research in October, this year’s schedule has been advanced by more than four months.
This measure reflects the city’s intention to strengthen response capabilities by securing dedicated personnel and organizations related to infectious disease response tasks.

Labor and Operations Support Division Chief Roh Dong-young said, “Considering the importance and urgency of infectious disease response highlighted by the spread of COVID-19, the exam schedule has been advanced compared to previous years.
