[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 27th that it inspected the civil defense emergency water supply facilities and emergency evacuation facilities in the area on the 25th to ensure they can be immediately utilized in case of an emergency.

The civil defense emergency water supply facilities are designed to provide citizens with a stable supply of drinking and domestic water when tap water supply becomes difficult due to disasters, war, drought, etc. A total of 11 facilities have already been installed, including 5 for drinking water and 6 for domestic water.

The water supply capacity of the emergency water supply facilities is set to allow 25 liters per person per day. To prepare for power outages, self-generators, emergency fuel, hoses, and other equipment are in place.

The civil defense emergency evacuation facilities consist of 44 locations in total, including 1 in Apo-eup, Gimcheon City, and 43 in the eastern area. By searching for 'Safe Stepping Stone' on the Google Store or App Store and installing the app, citizens can easily find evacuation facilities near them.

A Gimcheon City official stated, "Civil defense facilities are directly related to citizens' lives, and we are fully prepared through prior inspections and maintenance to ensure they can be used at any time."
