Uljin County, Education Support Office, and Police Station Jointly Sign Agreement on 'Middle School CCTV Operation'

On the 26th, Uljin County signed an operational management agreement with the Uljin Office of Education and Uljin Police Station to operate CCTV for eight middle schools in the area.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 27th that it signed a management agreement with the Uljin Office of Education and Uljin Police Station on the 26th to create a safer educational environment through the operation of CCTV in middle schools within the jurisdiction.

This agreement was prepared to manage and operate the 63 CCTV systems installed last year in eight middle schools in the area.

Accordingly, Uljin-gun will oversee the integrated control center operation, the Uljin Office of Education will provide budget support and manage the CCTV, and the Uljin Police Station will be responsible for rapid on-site response in case of incidents, establishing an organic cooperation system.

The Uljin-gun CCTV Integrated Control Center connected 150 elementary school CCTVs in 2016 and plans to connect and manage 63 CCTVs from eight middle schools in the area by February.

Opened on December 16, 2016, the Uljin-gun CCTV Integrated Control Center is located on the first floor of the Uljin Yeonho Culture Center, with a 230㎡ area including a control room, meeting room, equipment room, and office.

The Uljin-gun Control Center, staffed by 27 control personnel, operates about 800 CCTVs to prevent various incidents and accidents, as well as expanding its operational scope to include illegal dumping and parking enforcement.

Jeon Chan-geol, the county governor, emphasized, "To create a safer educational environment, we will continue to eliminate blind spots in safety through CCTV expansion and strengthening the capabilities of control personnel."
